National Service Scheme

Our Institution has one of the biggest N.S.S. Units in Goa with around 800 volunteers. Through this Social Scheme, students learn to be sensitive towards various social issues. We serve the community through various outreach programmes such as Tree Plantation, Street Plays, Visit to Old Aged Homes, Cancer Homes, Promoting use of cloth bags, Session on Rights and Safety of women, Workshop on Preparation of Goan Sweet Dishes and Poster Competitions. The highlight of the scheme is the 7 day Annual Residential Camp which aims at team building, imparting/developing leadership skills. It gives students an opportunity to be independent and display their talents through various activities at the camp site.

N.S.S. thus helps in moulding the all round personality of a student. Two of our students: Ms. Priti Parab and Mr. Govind Mopkar were selected to represent the state of Goa at the Pre – Republic Day training camp at Nagpur – Maharashtra.
